PIONEER STATE HIGH SCHOOL

Pioneer State High School is a vibrant, innovative and inclusive learning community of more than 700 students and 80 teaching and support staff. Pioneer’s vision is to be ‘partners in learning for the twenty-first century in an innovative, inclusive and caring community.’

The school has a strong tradition of excellence in academic, sport and the arts. In 2014, Year 12 outcomes for Queensland Certificate of Education attainment and vocational certificate qualifications were well above the state average. The school’s innovative LEAP enrichment program delivered in partnership with CQUniversity provides outstanding enrichment and extension opportunities for the most able students. Pioneer is part of the Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy and an AFL School of Excellence.
