Mount Morgan State High School is a school which values consultation and aims to be responsive to local community needs. The school aims to provide access to educational opportunities which will allow all students to attain success – whether it be academic, vocational and/or in the extra curricula field.
In 2012 Mount Morgan State High School became a School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) school. All areas of Mount Morgan State High School are learning and teaching environments. The school considers behaviour management to be an opportunity for valuable social learning as well as a means of maximising the success of academic education programs.
The school’s Responsible Behaviour Plan outlines its system for facilitating positive behaviours, preventing problem behaviour and responding to unacceptable behaviours. Through the school plan, shared expectations for student behaviour are plain to everyone, assisting Mount Morgan State High School to create and maintain a positive and productive learning and teaching environment, where ALL school community members have clear and consistent expectations and understandings of their role in the educational process.
