Facilities: Extensive gardens and playing fields, well-maintained older buildings with air conditioning, state-of-the-art modern resources such as the Coastal Cookery Trade Training Centre, new Science facilities and the Industrial Technology and Design centre, all classrooms have digital projectors and the entire school has wifi coverage.
Subjects/Electives Years 7 to 10: Junior secondary schooling is based around a broad and general education with a central core of English, Maths, Science and History; this seeks to build relationships, engage students and lay the foundations for success in the senior school. The junior secondary curriculum has a distinct focus on literacy and numeracy and includes social, cultural, scientific, technological and aesthetic learning.
Electives Years 11 and 12: Students in Year 11 select six subjects that they will generally study for two years; every student must study English and Mathematics and select four other subjects from an extensive range of options. The subjects are organized into distinct groupings that facilitate a tertiary pathway, a vocational pathway or a personalised pathway.
Sport: Sports Development program.
Welfare and personal development: Guidance Officer, school-based Youth Health Nurse, school-based Police Officer, Chaplain, Behaviour Support Consultant, Vocational Education Liaison Officer, Indigenous Liaison Officer and Youth Co-ordinator from IFYS, Deputies, Heads of Year and staff.
