Mosman Prep Donates Pre-Loved Furniture to Empower Children’s Education in Tanzania.
Mosman Preparatory School (Mosman Prep), a leading boys’ school fostering a love of learning, is proud to announce the completion of phase 1 of its new furniture installation. This initiative aligns with the school’s strategic vision of creating enhanced learning spaces that promote innovative teaching and learning practices.
The new furniture program not only benefits Mosman Prep students but also allows the school to extend its commitment to the broader community.
The pre-loved furniture was donated to Team Vista, a not-for-profit organization supporting over 300 children in Kaloleni Ward, Tanzania. By finding a new purpose for the pre-loved furniture, Mosman Prep diverted it from landfill and ensured it continues to serve educational purposes. The donated furniture will equip Team Vista’s new multipurpose community centre, with remaining pieces going to Kaloleni Primary School. Classrooms across the region are now equipped with quality desks, chairs, and tables—an incredible achievement made possible by the overwhelming generosity of our Mosman Preparatory families.
Team Vista operates in a community bordering the Moshi rubbish dump, where children attend overcrowded primary and secondary schools with limited resources. Class sizes average 60-70 students with just one teacher, often with minimal training.
Team Vista is currently constructing a multipurpose community centre that will provide essential afterschool programs and activities. The donated furniture will equip this centre, with remaining pieces going to Kaloleni Primary School.

By receiving new furniture and upgrading its learning spaces, Mosman Prep has empowered Team Vista to create a nurturing environment for the children of Kaloleni, fostering a life beyond themselves.
