Gin Gin State High School prides itself on its academic, sporting and cultural successes and has a proud reputation for academic excellence with a desire to provide learning pathways for all students.
In 2009 the school was recognized for its outstanding senior schooling results for sustained overall position success. In 2011, Gin Gin State High School won the Commonwealth Bank state showcase award in the middle phase of learning for its Gin Gin alternative pathways program (GGAP). In 2012 the school was successful in winning a regional award for ‘Above And Beyond,’ reflecting its numeracy and literacy results in the junior school. In 2012, Gin Gin State High School was awarded the National Australia Bank (NAB) Schools First Impact Award, a state award recognising the wonderful productive school community partnerships forged in the areas of horticulture, land care, construction, manufacturing and engineering.
Students have opportunities in vocational pathways as part of the school’s recently acquired trade training centre and to participate in structured workplace learning opportunities with the local community. In addition, students can compete at interschool, district, regional and state level in sport.
