Coombabah State High school’s vision – Building Partnerships and Pathways. Subjects/Electives Years 7 to 10: Compulsory – English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities (compulsory for 1 Semester), Physical Education (compulsory for 1 Semester). Electives – LOTE Elective (Japanese or Italian), Technology Elective (Industrial Technology and Design, Graphics, Food Studies, Information Communication and Technology), The Arts Elective (Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Art, Digital Imaging and Appreciation, Media Studies).
Electives Years 11 and 12: As above plus additional courses delivered by Coombabah SHS (RTO 30063) – Certificate I in Business, Certificate II in Business, Certificate I in Construction, Certificate I in Hospitality, Certificate II in Hospitality, Certificate II in Workplace Practices, Certificate III in Health Services (Assistant Nursing), Certificate III in Children’s Services.
Extracurricular activities: iGniTe Programs (Leadership, Writer’s Chapter, Chess Club, Glee Club, Debating, Instrumental Music, Robotics, Cheerleading), ARC (Academic Rich Curriculum), Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Sport and Exercise Science.
Welfare and personal development: Guidance Counsellor, school-based Youth Health Nurse, Industry Liaison Officer, Indigenous Education Worker, Chaplain.
