Charters Towers State High School is a Year 7 to 12 school supporting the education needs of students within a rural and mining community. The school was established in 1912 and continues to deliver a cutting-edge curriculum. In 2014, the Dalrymple Trade Training Centre opened, which supports and enriches the school’s academic offerings in line with community-employability needs.
The Junior/Secondary Precinct caters for Years 7 to 9 students and is supported by a timetable that minimises teacher changes in these formative years. Charters Towers State High School is supported by an active P&C which operates the tuckshop (open daily during both lunch breaks) which provides nutritious foods aligned with the “Smart Choices” policy.
