Capella State High School endeavours to offer a future-oriented curriculum which engages and challenges students, and supports continued learning. The supportive school environment develops and promotes positive relationships between all members of the school community.
Capella is located approximately 50kms north of Emerald in the Central Highlands region which is an area of intensive agricultural production. The region produces quality beef and grains and is located in the heart of the Bowen Basin coal mining region.
The school services the towns of Capella and Tieri (36kms east of Capella). Students from Tieri travel to the school each day by bus.
