Sule College, established in 1996, currently caters for students in Kindergarten to Year 12. It is also further sectioned into a primary school, a girls’ high school and a boys’ high school.
The Sule College main campus is located in Prestons, near Liverpool. There are also campuses in Auburn and Shellharbour, which cater for Kindergarten to Year 6 students. The central aim of Sule College is the achievement of academic and creative excellence and the development of moral and socially responsible students who will be able to participate as informed, active, caring and contributing citizens in Australian society.
Facilities: Assembly hall, computerised library, computer laboratories, science facilities, outdoor play areas, fully equipped commercial kitchen. Childcare facilities are also available.
Electives Years 7 to 10: Design and Technology, LOTE (Turkish or Arabic), Music, Visual Arts, Commerce, Computing.
Electives Years 11 and 12: English (Standard, Advanced, Fundamentals of English), Mathematics (General, 2-Unit, 3-Unit Extension), Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Creative Arts (Visual Arts), Languages (Arabic Continuers, Turkish Continuers), Human Society and its Environment (Economics, Modern History, Business Studies, Legal Studies), Technological and Applied Studies (Information Processes and Technology, Food Technology).
Sport: Sule College participates in inter-school athletics carnivals, soccer and basketball competitions.
Co-curricular activities: Multi-cultural activities are promoted through special events. Camps are organised for the academic, social and pastoral development of students. Also available are a school band, a school choir and folk dancing. Clubs include sports clubs (soccer, cricket, basketball, netball, wrestling), a debating club, a mathematics club, a science club, a computer club and a music club.
Welfare and personal development: Work experience and a vocational guidance program are offered in Year 10. There is close monitoring of the welfare development of students through the school’s pastoral care program.
Special features: A technology program is emphasised throughout all curriculum areas. Sule College also caters for the needs of overseas students. ESL and literature programs are promoted. Specialised programs, such as remedial and gifted and talented, are tailored for individual needs.
