Macedon Grammar School is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational school for students in Prep to Year 12. The teaching and learning philosophy fosters a combination of direct teaching and guided inquiry. Macedon Grammar School is an open-entry school. Uniform is compulsory.
Facilities: The school is set on 37 hectares of scenic bush. Sporting facilities include an indoor heated pool, tennis and basketball courts and a large multi-purpose indoor stadium.
Curriculum: The International Baccalaureate Diploma is offered at Years 11 and 12; however the IB teaching and learning philosophy is encouraged and integrated across the school. The Junior School classes operate in home rooms with French, Physical Education, Swimming and Talent Development operating as weekly specialist classes. The Senior School core subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, French, Information Technology, Art and Physical Education. A Talent Development Program also runs across the Senior School from Years 7 to 10. Instrumental Music lessons are offered across the school.
Sport: A significant sports program runs across the school both internally and externally.
