Opened in 1974 and located in a pleasant semi-rural environment, Hoxton Park is an engaging school with a friendly atmosphere. The school uniform is compulsory, a decision supported by the student council, and it is worn with pride.
Facilities: The spacious grounds contain a school farm, several large sporting fields and tennis, netball and basketball courts. Other facilities include a library, with connection to the internet, and a multi-purpose assembly hall.
Electives Years 11 and 12: The school offers a diverse curriculum with Physics, Chemistry, French, Visual Arts and Music, Agriculture, Office Studies, Food Technology, Business Studies, PD/Health/PE, Legal Studies, Retail, Industrial Technology, Work Studies, and Computing Studies to HSC level. The school offers a number of CEC courses including Exploring Childhood, Health Studies, and Fitness and Recreation.
Sport: All the usual sports are offered, including girls’ soccer, and there are a number of recreational sports. There is a very strong sporting ethos at the school.
Extracurricular activities: The school has various musical groups, environmental and conservation groups, computing and video facilities. Public speaking and debating are promoted.
