Delany College commenced in 1997 for Years 7 to 12 students from the parishes of Granville, East Granville, Guildford and Merrylands.
Delany College has a proud and rich tradition of Patrician education. In a dynamic Catholic learning environment, the school provides modern learning facilities and has a dedicated and enthusiastic staff.
A commitment to providing quality teaching was recognised in 2005 when Delany College won a national award for Excellence in School Improvement. School buses connect the campus with Guildford, Granville, Harris Park and Merrylands train stations.
Facilities: Comprehensive school library, state-of-the-art technics block, modern science laboratories, performing and creative arts facilities, large hospitality kitchen.
Electives: Delany’s curriculum covers the eight Key Learning Areas, offering many academic courses as well as Industrial Technology, Information Technology, Construction, Hospitality, Music, Languages. It also provides access to a number of courses offered through Granville TAFE.
Extracurricular activities: The college takes part in a number of sporting competitions throughout the year including those associated with the PDSSSC and other interschool competitions. It boasts a talented school choir, debating teams and involve students in community ventures such as St Vincent de Paul. Spiritual, cultural, sporting and social opportunities are provided for students to grow to be the best people they can be.
Welfare and personal development: Delany College has a strong student management policy promoting self-discipline, responsibility, a safe and positive environment in which students can learn without disruption from other students. Delany College has excellent resource teachers in special education, ESL and literacy to assist those with learning difficulties and those who have had limited exposure to the English language.
