Arndell College is a member school of the Sydney Anglican Schools Corporation and seeks to provide a high-quality education in a caring Christian environment. It aims to prepare young men and women for a successful and productive life through the provision of a rigorous academic program. Also provided is a varied extracurricular program encompassing both cultural and sporting pursuits.
Facilities: Situated on a 10-hectare site in a semi-rural environment, the college has modern buildings with specialist areas for information technology, design and technology, food technology, including a purpose-built VET hospitality kitchen, art, craft, photography, music, and science. General classrooms are built in modules, each of which has four or five classrooms surrounding a resource centre. These centres are equipped with computer facilities giving access to the Internet as well as local programs and applications. The college has a general-purpose hall, which is used as a gymnasium as well as an assembly hall, and a new music/drama auditorium complex. There are three ovals for sporting pursuits.
Curriculum: French, Music, Drama, Dance, Information Technology, Wood Technology, Food Technology, PASS, Graphics and Visual Arts make up the School Certificate subjects. All levels of Mathematics and English are offered as part of the Higher School Certificate, as well as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Modern and Ancient History, Business Studies, Visual Arts, French, Music, Drama, Studies of Religion, Hospitality, Information Technology, Software Design and Development, Industrial Technology.
Sport: Soccer, indoor soccer, tennis, hockey, netball, rugby, basketball, athletics, triathlon, swimming, cross-country.
Extracurricular activities: Choirs, bands, debating, science/rocket club, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, chess, equestrian.
Welfare and personal development: The college has a strong pastoral care program through horizontal pastoral care groups and a house system. There is a school counsellor and a chaplain, as well as significant input from the local Community Church.
