St Mary’s is a co-educational high school catering for students from Years 7 to 10 and accepts children living in the immediate area, according to Catholic Schools Office enrolment policy. Students wishing to complete their secondary education to HSC level usually go on to St Francis Xavier’s College, Hamilton.
Facilities: Several sports fields, basketball, netball and volleyball courts, cricket nets, spacious library, drama room, computer room.
Electives Years 9 and 10: Asian Studies, Commerce, Computer Studies, Drama, Food Technology, Geography, Graphical and Commercial Arts, History, Human Movement, Japanese, Music, Technical Drawing, Technics, Textiles and Design, Visual Arts.
As well as meeting BOS curriculum requirements, all students study Religious Studies as a School Certificate Content Endorsed Course (CEC).
Sport: Students participate in competitive sports with other Catholic high schools and in other regional and state competitions, as well as in school diocesan and inter-diocesan swimming and athletics carnivals. A wide range of other sporting and recreational activities is also provided at school or in the local community.
