CRONULLA HIGH

Cronulla High School provides a focused and supportive environment,
which maximises learning opportunities for students. The school’s values are

Sport: Almost every type of sport is played and proximity to the
beach makes aquatic sports a focus. Highly successful surf survival, body
boarding and surfing programs are popular with students of both sexes. The
school has an impressive record of sporting achievers, producing Australian
reps in athletics, softball, swimming, touch football and water polo and has a
highly successful snow-sports team.

Extracurricular activities: Band, community choir, dance ensembles,
debating, drama ensemble, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, environmental
group, music ensemble, student leadership program, snowsports team, F1
Challenge, Tournament of Minds.

Welfare and personal development: Peer support and a comprehensive
student welfare program are integral components of Cronulla’s educational
program. A strong student council, student study camps, student leadership
courses, work experience and careers guidance classes all contribute to
personal and group development.

Special features: Cronulla High applies contemporary learning theory
to maximise student learning outcomes. A talented child program operates with
extension classes in Years 7 to 10 and students in Years 7 and 11 attend
orientation camps.

(playwright), Andrew Kerr (Australian water polo), Chris McDowell (medical).
