This co-educational Catholic secondary school was founded in 1981 and features a modern, single-storey building design giving easy access to students with physical disabilities.
Facilities: The landscaped grounds contain sporting fields, a cricket pitch, basketball and netball courts and a multi-purpose hall.
Electives: The broad curriculum covers Visual Arts and Music, Industrial Technology, Engineering Studies, Computing Studies, Legal Studies, and Design and Technology — all to HSC level. Interesting electives are available to junior students, such as Sports Science, Early Childhood Care, Italian, and Japanese.
Sport: All the traditional sports are available. John Therry is associated with sporting bodies that compete during regular school hours as well as on weekends.
Extracurricular activities: Choir, Mock Trial, debating, public speaking, school band, use of computing, video and photography facilities.
Welfare and personal development: There is a comprehensive pastoral care program and an active student council. The P & F is also very involved in school affairs and has input into curriculum content.
