Prospective parents at Ruyton Girls’ School can now build a prospectus for their daughter.
In an exciting initiative, the Development Office at Ruyton Girls’ School has been working on a project called Build your own Prospectus. Ruyton is one of the first schools in Australia to use this tool, whereby parents interested in specific areas of the school can put together their own prospectus online.
In four easy steps, prospective parents build a prospectus for their child. They are able to select a point of entry to the school, choose particular areas of interest, complete their details and finally download the personalised prospectus for their daughter.
Ruyton has a strong focus on personalised learning and this is reflected in the personalised prospectus. It is a further tool to promote personal excellence and fulfilment in each of the girls.
By building their own prospectus, parents can target specific information in an efficient and comprehensive manner. Today we are bombarded by promotional literature, both through the mail and online, in our inboxes. We lose track of relevant data and often do not have the time to separate “junk mail” from important information. Build your own Prospectus allows parents to tailor information relevant to their daughter and allows them to print it or keep a soft copy for future reference.
For instance, parents may be considering the enrolment of their daughter in Year 5 and want to learn about the curriculum at this point, what sports are offered and how active the music program is. Build your own Prospectus allows them to select specific areas, without acquiring superfluous information. Or parents may have a child in Prep at the local primary school and are considering enrolment in Year 7. Languages, cross-country running and drama are important to them in their decision for their daughter, so they will be able to build a prospectus using just these areas. The information parents select is therefore much more targeted.
The school’s registrar, Mrs Nadine Hibbert, runs the front-of-house area and is the first port of call for all enrolments. She looks after Open Days and Principal’s Conversations and conducts tours of the school.
