Nuriootpa High School is a public high school with a student population of over 840 students (years 8 to 12). We are located in Nuriootpa, a township within the Barossa Valley region in the state of South Australia. The Barossa Valley is one of Australia’s most significant wine regions.
Facilities: The school is set in attractive grounds with two ovals, several tennis courts, lawn areas, Computing and Science, double-storey and single-storey classroom teaching units, Resource Centre, Home Economics Centre, Change Rooms, Canteen, Administration Block, Student Services Centre, Memorial Hall and the Gymnasium/Stadium, which is used for Physical Education, Drama, Music and School Assemblies.
Electives Years 8 to 10: Arts, English, Health & Physical Education, Languages (Indonesian or German), Mathematics, Technology, Society and Environment and Science.
Electives Years 11 and 12: South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) curriculum.
Sport: Interschool and Knockout competitions including Athletics, Swimming, Football, Netball, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Gymkhana, Cricket, Softball, Soccer.
Extracurricular activities: Clubs and interest groups, sports and preforming arts.
