Marden Senior College is committed to supporting students with pathways to enable them to continue or to resume their studies in a dedicated senior secondary environment. The comprehensive range of subjects and courses provide multiple opportunities for students to complete the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). In addition to the broad range of Stage 1 and Stage 2 options available, the College, as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), delivers nationally accredited Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificate courses. Through this broad curriculum the College provides education and training pathways for a diverse student cohort to complete the senior years of schooling.
Facilities: Information Resource and Media Centre, Tutorial Centre, IT facilities, Lecture Theatre with multi-media equipment for presentations, gym and sporting field facilities, laptop loan facility, Book room, Photography and Stationery shop.
Electives Years 11 and 12: VET Certificate Courses including: Certificate I & II in Education and Skills Development, Certificate III in Spoken and Written English, Certificate II in Community Services, Certificate II in Business, Certificate II in Food Processing, Certificate III in Business Administration, Certificate I & II in Information Technology, Certificate III in Media (Multimedia), Certificate III in Media (Game Design), Certificate III in Visual Arts (Photo – Imaging), Certificate III in Visual Arts (Textiles) and (Design), Certificate III in Visual Arts (Painting and Drawing), Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate III in Education Support, Certificate IV in Design, Certificate IV in Visual Arts (Textiles), Certificate IV in Visual Arts (Painting and Drawing), Vocational Geo Science and Geo Physics (part).
Sport: Students have free access to the adjacent MARS Sporting Complex at lunchtime for recreational use, fitness, weights and basketball. Soccer is played on the adjoining fields, and table tennis is played on site. The Pedal Prix team is open to all and counts for SACE credits.
