Facilities: The Senior Floor, Resource Centre, Open Access College, special needs Literacy classes, Practical Mathematics class, Practical English class, Environmental focus classes, a Work Related Studies class (construction oriented), Health and Community Studies class.
Subjects/Electives Years 8 to 10: The curriculum offerings for Years 8 and 9 offer students a snapshot of all subject areas, with more choice in Year 9. A two-person team delivers Maths/Science and Society and Environment/ English to each class. Year 10 is seen as a transition year between the Middle School and Senior School. Here students have more choice and a broad pattern for subject selection is developed. Students need to complete a study skills program and a literacy program similar to WBLA in the Senior School. The Middle School curriculum is well supported by an Adaptive Education Program which includes special courses for students at risk. Dance has been introduced as part of the curriculum at Year 9 and 10 levels. This has expanded into the Senior School. A Specialist Dance teacher was appointed specifically to implement this initiative.
Sport: Interhouse swimming, athletics and cross-country competitions, S.A.S.S.S.A. Championships, Knockout Sport in Baseball, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Softball, Tennis and Touch, regional sports carnivals such as 9-a-side football, Stableford golf and Super 8’s cricket, specialist soccer, netball and baseball courses.
Extracurricular activities: School Musical, Japanese Exchange, Eisteddfods, Community based Music/Choir performances.
