Electives Years 7 to 10: English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Health & Physical Education (including Extension Soccer & Volleyball), and Literacy.
In Years 7 & 8 students will also study Languages other than English (Japanese) and complete one semester of each of the following: Agriculture, Manual Arts, Home Economics, Graphics, Business, Performing Arts, Music, Art.
In Year 9 students will be able to choose two electives subjects for each of Semester 1 and 2 from: Agriculture, Manual Arts, Home Economics, Graphics, Graphic Design, Business, Drama, Dance, Music, Art, Japanese.
All students in Year 10 will study Mathematics, English, Work Education and four other subjects which reflect the choices available in the senior curriculum.
Sport: Aldridge State High School is an active participant in Wide Bay Region sporting activities including athletics, cross country, swimming, and the volleyball program.

Special features: The Special Education Program (SEP) at Aldridge State High School offers a wide range of support for students with the six recognised disabilities by Education Queensland. The support encompasses teacher aide in class support, modified classes in the core subject areas, alternate education program and a multi-level class.
